DSC07249
Stella's birthday was on Friday. She's 2 years old now. I can hardly believe it. I wish you all could know her, she is the funniest little girl. She is brave, and silly, and loving. This year we had her party at a park and it was fun.
I skipped my grateful Friday this week, I've just been busy, but I'll get it up this Friday. John is doing really great. He right wrist, left shoulder and elbow are healing great, he goes in for surgery for his lift arm tomorrow afternoon. In the morning he has an interview at a company he really wants to work for. It's his third interview so we are hoping maybe they will make an offer. That would be so great, even though it would mean we would have to move, that makes me sad, but it will be worth in the long run.

The picture of John with his daughter made me cry. Our daughter (grown and gone) has always adored her "daddy" and there is a powerful bond between them. I think the father/daugher connection is so powerful that it will absolutely affect the daughter for the rest of her days. It will affect how she sees herself, how she thinks about men, and what kind of man she will marry. Tell your husband to never under-estimate the power he has to help mould his daughter into the woman God intended for her to be.

What a great picture! I love the sheer joy on both of their faces. I'm so glad things are looking better for your family.

Speaking of the father/daughter connection, we have the same thing with Maddie (my oldest) and my husband. They have this bond that I sometimes don't understand. They just GET each other. And my youngest and I have the same thing. The polarity worries me sometimes, but I'm also glad that our children can have such a bond with their parents at all.

Okay, I've completely gone off topic and written a novel here, but...

...it's a great picture.
