Self Portrait Challenge: "Introduce Yourself" #4

I'm three months pregnant now. I actually don't even feel pregnant at all. If it weren't for the fact that I've missed some periods and gained some weight I might think I'm not. I know that I am though, last night as I lay on my back I could feel the firm bump just below my belly button. I'm excited, constantly thinking of names. We pretty much have a girl name pinned down, but the boy name, whew!! it's tough. I'm just not falling in love with any of them. I know the perfect name is out there, it just hasn't come to us yet. I've been feeling a lot of anxiety, we are trying to figure out insurance and also look for work. I know that I really need to chill and let John take on that burden, and I want to, but I just am having a really hard time letting go. Last night as I lay in bed I started thinking about how all this stress is affecting the baby and it made me sad. I'm really going to try and focus on relaxing and trusting my husband and God. I more than anything want to enjoy this pregnancy and have a healthy happy baby. This will be our last one and I don't want to spend the whole time stressed. I'm really grateful for the nightly walks I go on when John gets home. I hit shuffle on my ipod and start walking , it's such a rejuvenating, relaxing time. I wish I could bottle that feeling up and keep it with me all day long.

You look beautiful pregnant. I love this photo and not worrying, not stressing.....well, I don't have an answer for this one. I too have a tough time letting go. Your evening walks sound wonderful and music is a beautiful thing.

What a gorgeous bump-

The walks sound good

Try not to be too hard on yourself. Relaxing during stressful times takes mindfulness, so it is natural to get caught up in it sometimes-

It's so HARD!!! My 82-year-old, 4'9" Great Aunt wags her bony little finger at me and says "you need this hard time so you can enjoy it when it gets good." Pooey! Hey, if things get hard you can move in with us. I have always wished you would move to Lodi to be closer to me!

Try not to worry about the job situation, you guys will be taken care of. I remember Jason got laid off just when we found out I was pg with Thomas (#2). It was a scary time but God was totally in control. We are so happy for you guys! 3 is a party for sure! :)

I love your bump. Even during the third time it seems so amazing to think that you have your child growing in there... I think with my third I was even more amazed!
Can't wait to hear the names!

sweet picture...

and i hope that something
comes together soon for you
and your family...even when
you are aware that you shouldn't
be stressed, it is still hard
not to be...

and we had the hardest time
coming up with a boys name, too.
girls names were falling
out of the sky,
but boys, not so much.

I love pregnancy shots. We took them weekly with Nicholas.

We were the opposite. We got our boy name down... and never agreed on a girl's name. Thankfully he was a boy.

O MY GOODNESS Kelly!! I cna't believe you said that name. That is the one name I keep going back to and really love, unfortunaltly John doesn't love it as much as me. He hasn't ruled it out yet, but I've been trying to find it in print so I can show him it's a real name. It's a sign!! I know it!!

Your baby bump is so cute. I loved being pregnant! I'll be praying for you and the job situation and all your stresses. It IS so hard to relax and just trust God sometimes.
P.S. I love the name Finn too!

I think that's a sign you'll have a girl. I was the same way with boys names; I had such a hard time. And I ended up with two girls. So, throw that onto the pile of whacky pregnancy theories.

You baby bump is beautiful.

how exciting. i hope you find a name that really fits your child. i wonder how people can decide on names for the unborn. i think once you meet your child, it would be easy to pick a name.

nice photo, too. are you sure you weren't sticking your belly out making it look larger than it is?

i hope you continue to post as you progress, it will be neat to follow your pregnancy in photos.

Sooo cute! I know that this post is old but . . . I just wanted to say that I think that the name "Henry" would fit perfectly with your family. (In my opinion!) :) But, I agree, boy names are soooo hard.
