Scarves

DSC05047

Heidi showed me how to crochet a month or so ago and now I've made so many scarves I don't know what to do with them. I taught myself a new stitch called "trebel" according a little Swedish pamphlet I found. I would love to learn how to knit and think I'm going to take a class soon. I like crocheting at night while John and I watch TV. It is sort of replacing my reading right now. I think I burnt myself out reading for the moment, I'm having trouble getting into any books. Hope you all have a super weekend.

LOVE the picture. I learned to crochet when I was very young and still love to do it. I have made many afghans, including one for my son while I was pregnant with him....and he still sleeps with is, he's SEVEN.

Enjoy!

That scarf is so pretty! It's funny because I've been knitting at night and my reading has gone way down now too. I have a lot of scarves here too. Maybe we should trade. (=

Heather, I was without a computer for a month, so I was remiss in reading your blog (or anyone else's!) I've just read through your last month's worth of posts. So many birthdays were had while I was 'away'...Belated Happy Birthday wishes to you and to Heidi. Love the pierced nose...the crocheting...glad you got to see the parade in S.F. (although I must be getting old because whenever we venture into the City now, I look much like the conked-out version of Stella on the way home). Looks like things are going well with you and your beautiful family. Just wanted to check in and say Hi and that I'm glad to be able to reconnect with you.

P.S. Do you and Heidi want to meet me for a drink some Sunday night at the Black Pearl? (J plays there every Sunday night.) Let me know...we could hook up! (I don't even drink, so when I say 'drink' I mean 'beverage of your choice.') :)

I just recently (like in the last month) bought that "crochet for dummies" book and still couldnt figure it out. All I kept making were these long crochet worms. Pretty sure its a corner thing. Wish I had someone irl to show me how.
The colors on your scarf look awesome. NIce job!
